Oh wow, we are getting close! Only two more tips to go… this one and next week, xmas eve! My how time flies. Have any of these tips helped you this year? I would love to hear back from you dear readers and hear if anything clicked for you.
This week’s tip:
Try Everything > Finish Nothing or better known as “smaller portion sizes”
Who says you can’t have a fork-full of this and a spoonful of that? I try pretty much everything I want to at holiday parties and gatherings. But what I don’t do… fill up my plate beyond full or go back for 2nds.
When eating at these types of events I really try and pay attention to if I REALLY like what I’m eating. Is this sugary, fattening mass of goo at the end of my fork REALLY doing it for me? If a pot-luck I might also bring something healthier (but still tasty) that I know I can fill up on.
Is it worth the calories?
Sometimes a taste or two is all you need to be satisfied. More just becomes, well, more sometimes. So for the rest of this season pay attention to what you are tasting. Evaluate the worthiness of your food and keep your portion sizes to SMALL tasters….. of everything.
