ONE thing that will help keep off holiday weight gain.
For the holiday season I’ll post one tip a week that will help you keep weight off over the holiday season. Take my advice on one thing, or all of them and report back to me what happens.
Blah, blah, blah… drink more water. You hear it in every magazine, health news story and diet guide. You know what though, there is a reason, water works.
Instead of aiming for a certain number of glasses a day, which you should still do, we are going to use water a different way for the holidays. Here is your goal for the holiday season:
- Every time you find yourself starving or craving a treat you are going to drink at least 12 ounces of water first, and THEN wait 30 minutes. Then you can have your treat if you still want it.
- Before every party or dinner out drink at least 12 ounces of water right before you leave the house, or just as you arrive at the event. Again, make sure at least 30 minutes have passed before you start in on cocktails or eating.
- Have at lease 6-8 ounces of water after every cocktail.
Yes. You will pee a lot. A minor inconvenience. Follow this one bit of advice and let me know if you keep off that holiday weight gain.
