It’s all good…
I recently ordered her book “It’s All Good” when I realized one of my favorite photographers photographed the cookbook. Yes, I admit, I was only ordering it for the photography!
I was very pleasantly surprised however when I found a whole cookbook that helps people cook really tasty food while a eating clean, organic and a mostly anti-inflammatory diet. I am in love with this cookbook!!!! The recipes are fairly simple and straightforward, they are family friendly and even include desserts and beverages. The only fault I see in this book at all is she doesn’t list nutritional data. Just because ingredients are healthy, we still need to know how much of something we can have to fit into out individual plan right?
So, armed with my food scale, I’m going to make a few of these recipes and report back. Since I am towards the last 1/3 of my current workout program I’m thinking her ELIMINATION menu might just be the ticket for the last 21-days of my schedule. Though, all bets are off on giving up coffee……
The best part about the elimination menu is she includes a lot of “green drinks” and healthy smoothies in her plan (which is actually based on Dr. Junger’s elimination diet). My vegan Shakeology already fits in with this plan so I get to keep it. Awesome! I’m going to try some of her smoothie recipes with my shakeology as the base and see how I like them.
