Day Three of the Elimination Diet

Today is a crazy busy day so not a lot to report. All this tracking is a bit annoying, but I am noticing some things about myself… particularly that with no wine I have a very hard time winding down in the evening.  At 9pm I’m nearly ready to start my workday all over again.

WORKOUT

My workout is just as important as my nutrition so here is what I will do today:
Chalean Extreme “Push Phase – 2” 35min.  VERY. HEAVY. WEIGHTS.

BREAKFAST + AM SNACK

I woke up HUNGRY again!!  Skipped the gluten-free bread (which feels like I’m eating cake) and opted for veggies today.

fried egg + egg white
sauteed zucchini and a little avocado – Breakfast!

  • 1 pastured raised egg + 1 egg white
  • 1/2c zucchini with cooking spray
  • 1/4 avocado
  • Vegan Strawberry Shakeology + 4oz tangerine juice + water
  • KIND bar
  • 543 calories
LUNCH + SNACKS

So much better today at eating a snack before I went out.  Uneventful lunch.

  • Asparagus Steamed + Lemon Juice
  • Eggplant Hummus + Rice Crackers
  • 4oz Chicken
  • Club Soda + 3oz Tangerine juice
  • 474 calories
DINNER + SNACKS

Dinner was a total FAIL!!!.. we ended up going to Trader Joe’s to grab salads thinking we were being healthy.  I’m usually so good at reading labels but I totally forgot to check the fat & carbs on this one and it was a BOMB!

  • Trader Joe’s Spinach Power Salad w/dressing. 510cal – 33g fat – 50g carbs
  • 1oz dark chocolate
  • diet Hansens ginger ale
SUMMARY

So luckily today I had enough room in my nutrient tracker for a fail of a dinner.  I’ll definitely be more careful next time.

Final totals:  1735 calories – 71g fat – 117g protein – 163g carbs

 

 

At the end of day 3 I see that posting abut my diet challenge is a bit much to put up DAILY.  I’ll be changing my publishing to every couple days containing a summer of my roadblocks and triumphs from each day.  So… the end of the bombardment of your in-box if you are a subscriber for now.
