Are you tired of juicing yet?
I get tired just looking at all the people posting photos of their juicing online. All that prep and grocery shopping. Making sure to buy organic, balance the ingredients and not add too much sugar. Eating the pulp! Ack.
No, I am not a juicer.
I know, when done right it can be really good for you. It has helped countless people. But when done wrong…and many people do it wrong, it is a minefield of dietary problems.
So many people with the best of intentions would do something like this:
JUICED (not blended / no pulp)
1 bunch kale
Sounds healthy right? Want to know the approximate macros here?
IF the 15 or more grams of fiber-pulp that were tossed in the trash were to be consumed within this concoction it would go a long way to regulate the HUGE amount of sugar this green liquid would be inundating your system with. Sadly, most people toss the pulp. To me, this recipe is a FAIL with or without the pulp.
This is pretty much a 75% carb diet because of all the sugar. Insulin spike anyone?
Just like you, I am busy. I run two photography businesses and am an Independent Beach body Coach spending my time writing articles, chatting on the phone with clients and helping my Challenge Groups on Facebook. I need a much easier way to get all those nutrients from Kale and Citrus (and much more) without all the sugar.
